This is Omegaverse, if you don’t know what it is, please take the time to look it up before you judge this book. If you're looking for a shifter book, with steamy sex scenes, look no further. The author is very good at writing stories with strong alphas, and headstrong female leads. Obviously this is a prequel, so you're left with questions. The world Laxmi Hariharan has built, is cold, and sometimes too harsh, for a female. The omegas are basically sex slaves to all alphas, which of course, will bring out the stronger females, to challenge, said alphas. It leaves you wondering what will happen next. I enjoyed it, but, it's not one of her best works.
"Wanted by the Alpha" is set in a unique fantasy setting of a dystopian world. I don't believe this series will be formulated in the traditional Omegaverse setting, as this author refers to it as M/F Knotted Omegaverse, however the concept of "knotting" is the same. I had to look up several keywords to get an idea of what this series was about. This is a quick read with a cliffhanger to boot. I found it lacking in the storyline and too quick a read to substantially set up the series to come. I can't say that having read this book gave me anymore insight into what is withheld in the upcoming stories to follow. It's great info and probably would have been best served as a 'prologue' or something in the first book. I just wish the book was longer to truly set up the series. I received an advanced copy.
This a quick read that gives you the origins of Zeus and Lucy. They dont real meet until the second full length book of Taken by the Alpha. This story starts off with a hot sex scene but its not what you think. Zeus hates his father and takes his crown from him with death. Lucy is royalty but when Vikings take her fathers kingdom she has know choice but to run and seek safety or become a brood mare to the enemy her fathers betrayal just to save his but. These two when they meet will heat up the pages of any ebook reader. There will be enemies and betrayal to come many will want what he now claims as General.I was allowed to read and advance copy and this my honest review I also have a personal copy for myself.
This is a prequel introducing the series and how the society works there. There are Alphas, Betas, and Omegas. First one is the most dominant and aggressive - their ruling is putting everything in Omegaverse point where Omegas have just one purpose there.Zeus is an Alpha who is about to put change in his life - become a general, but will he manage? And the dreams - are those true? Or is his imagination playing with his dreams?Lucy, there was an only little part for her, but I like that she's stronger than your usual Omega and can be a refreshing character in the next books.
